No. 2 California won a total of nine races over the course of the two-day Stanford Invitational this weekend at Redwood Shores, hosted by Stanford. The Golden Bears' varsity 8+ was victorious in both of its races.

"There were a lot of good performances by everybody," head coach Mike Teti said. "I was really happy with all of our results. I was glad that everyone had an opportunity to race two or three times this weekend. We were up against some good competition this weekend. We've got our work cut out for ourselves."

The varsity 8+ enjoyed wins over Oregon State and Wisconsin. The Bears just edged past the Badgers on Sunday, 5:35.2-5:36.0. Cal had a slightly easier time topping the Beavers on Saturday, 5:52.2-5:58.1

In all on Sunday, Cal picked up three wins over Pac-10 foe Oregon State. The Bears primarily raced against Wisconsin on Saturday, as the freshman 8+ also defeated the Badgers.

Next week, Cal heads up to Seattle for the annual dual meet against No. 1 Washington.
