SAN DIEGO - Live Stats

The No. 3 California women's crew varsity 8+ boat qualified for Sunday's final in the Jessop-Whittier Cup during first-day action at the 38th annual San Diego Crew Classic Saturday morning in San Diego.

The Bears placed second in their heat with a time of 6:26.9. USC won the heat with a time of 6:20.8.

Stanford won won the other heat in 6:24.0, while Washington State, Washington and Wisconsin were among the other boats qualifying for Sunday's final.
