LOS ANGELES - Multiple wins from Caitlin Leverenz and Liv Jensen highlighted second-ranked California's Pac-12 dual-meet victory over UCLA, 177-122, on Saturday at Spieker Aquatics Center. After winning 11 of 16 events today, the Golden Bears remained unbeaten with a 7-0 record (7-0 in the Pac-12), while the Bruins fell to 4-4 (2-4 Pac-12).

Leverenz won the 100-yard breaststroke with an NCAA B qualifying time of 1:02.37, 200-yard breaststroke (2:12.91, NCAA B) and 200-yard individual medley (2:00.00, NCAA B). She combined with Jensen, sophomore Cindy Tran and senior Sara Isakovic to claim the meet-opening 200-yard medley relay with an NCAA B qualifying time of 3:38.64. The junior's winning times in the 200 breast and 200 IM also set Cal-UCLA meet records as did Cal's victory in the medley relay.

Jensen, a senior, swept the 50 (22.79, NCAA B) and 100 (49.51, NCAA B) freestyles. The senior's 50- and 100 free-times were also meet records. She anchored the final event of the day - the 200-free relay - which also featured freshman Kaylin Bing, Isakovic and senior Katherine Raatz. The Bears posted an NCAA B time of 1:31.62 to claim victory.

Tran - the defending NCAA 100-back champion - won the 100 back (54.75, NCAA B), Isakovic was triumphant in the 500 free with a time of 4:52.77, and a pair of freshmen - Catherine Breed in the 1000 free (9:54.48) and Caroline Piehl in the 200 free (1:49.36) - also claimed victories for the Bears.

Cal also posted pool records at Spieker Aquatics Center with Breed's time in the 1000 free, Jensen's time in the 100 free, Leverenz's time in the 200 IM and both relay wins.

"It was a solid day of racing," Cal head coach Teri McKeever said. "It was a little tough to come back from yesterday (when Cal won at No. 3 USC). UCLA did really nice job racing us. I would give kudos to Liv with both victories and both relay victories, Sara Isakovic had a really solid day, and the medley relay, with Caitlin, Sara, Liv and Cindy, swam a dual-meet record against UCLA and a facility record. Catherine Breed had a really good 1000 freestyle, Taylor Nanfria stepped up, and Kaylin Bing and Camille Cheng really did a nice job this weekend. We had some different women step up in some different events."

Cal's 7-0 record includes four victories over a nine-day span. The Bears close out the dual-meet season when they battle rival and sixth-ranked Stanford at 1 p.m. on Feb. 11 on the Farm.

"We've had a couple of weeks of tough racing," McKeever added. "We learned a lot and now have to hone in on the final stages of the season and keep finding a way to get better."
