CAL: Cross Country - Conrad enters his fourth and final season on the Cal cross country team...has lettered the last two seasons...as a junior, named first team Academic All-Pac-10 for track and field and to the second team for cross country...posted three Top 20 performances, including leading Cal with a third-place finish at the Sacramento Invitational...in 2001 as a sophomore, posted three Top 10 finishes...led Cal at Sacramento State and at Stanford...did not letter in cross country as a freshman after competing in only two meets, with a best finish of 18th (26:52) at the Aggie Invitational.
Track - Clocked the seventh-fastest time in Cal history in the 3000mSC (8:56.65) at the 2002 Big Meet as a senior...had a breakthrough sophomore season, running a PR of 9:07.72 at Pac-10s in the 3000mSC...took over 21 seconds (14:33.31) off his previous 5000m PR at the Stanford Invitational...competed in the 5000m for the Bears as a freshman...posted a then-PR of 14:54.62 at the Big Meet.
High School: Participated in cross country and track and field at Long Beach Polytechnic HS...helped lead his high school track team to 1997 and 1998 state titles.
Personal: Born June 9, 1981 in Long Beach...parents are Allen and Barbara Conrad...history and political science major.
