One of the strongest and fastest member of the Bears...will again be a key performer this year...is an extremely hard worker in both practice and games...will again contribute at two-meters and will be valuable on the counterattack with her speed...AS A JUNIOR (2001): Was fourth on the team in scoring with 30 goals, including six goals in the MPSF Tournament...was named to the MPSF All-Tournament second team...scored a team-high four goals in the Bears 8-4 opening round victory over San Jose State in the MPSF Tournament...also earned MPSF honorable mention accolades...AS A SOPHOMORE (2000): Scored 28 goals for the Bears, including three goals in the National Championship matches...was Cal's leading scorer in seven matches...was outstanding in leading the Bears to the Santa Barbara Women's Open Tournament title, scoring three goals against both USC and Stanford...earned MPSF Player of the Week honors for her efforts against the Trojans and Cardinal...AS A FRESHMAN (1999): Scored 20 goals as a true freshman, including leading the Bears with four goals against UC San Diego in the UC Santa Barbara Tournament...led Cal with three goals against Princeton in the first round of the National Collegiate Championship...HIGH SCHOOL/PERSONAL: At Carondelet High School in Concord was a first team All-American, and the MVP of the North Coast Section and Bay Valley Athletic League in water polo...helped lead her high school team to Bay Valley Athletic League Championships from 1995-97 and the Western States Championship in 1996...was a Junior Olympic All-American in water polo in 1998...also was a four-year varsity swimmer and was a member of All-American relay teams from 1995-98...was named her school's Senior Athlete of the Year in 1998...father, George, played baseball at Penn State, and mother, Pat, is Director of Basketball Operations for the Cal men's basketball team...considered UC Santa Barbara, UC Davis, USC, Hawaii and Long Beach State before selecting Cal...majoring in American studies...parents are George and Pat Cesnik...born March 18, 1980 in Philadelphia, PA.
