AS A SOPHOMORE IN 2003-04: Barbieri held
Cal's second-best 3000-meter steeplechase
(11:49.52) to place second in the Big Meet...that
mark now ranks her third all-time at Cal in the
3000mSC...ran a season-best at the Stanford
Invitational of 5:09.74 in the 1500m.
AS A REDSHIRT FRESHMAN IN 2002-03: Placed seventh at the Big Meet in the 400mH (1:04.44), a time that was also seventh among Golden Bears on the season.
REDSHIRTED THE 2001-02 SEASON.
HIGH SCHOOL: Four-time MVP of her Piedmont High School track and field team...2001 league champion in the triple jump...high school PRs include 35-4 in the triple jump, 45.4 in the 300mH, 58.0 in the 400m and 2:23 in the 800m...also competed three seasons on the cross country team...served as student body president.
PERSONAL: Lauren Evans Barbieri was born July 31, 1983 in Piedmont, CA...parents are Dean and Karen Barbieri...president of the Tri Delta sorority...undeclared major.
