A sophomore backstroker/IMer from Huntington Beach, CA...as a freshman (2001) was an honorable mention All-American, placing 14th in the 400 IM and was a member of the Bears 800 free relay (third leg) that also placed 14th at the NCAA Championships…had a best of 4:17.34 in the 400 IM during the NCAA prelims, fifth-best all-time Cal mark…had the team's second-best time in the 200 IM (2:02.11, 10th-best all-time Cal mark) and third-best time in the 200 back (2:00.17, ninth-best all-time Cal mark)…at Marina High School owned top times of 56.10 in the 100 back, 1:59.46 in the 200 back, 2:02.38 in the 200 IM, 4:18.56 in the 400 IM and 56.10 in the 100 fly…was a four-time team MVP and helped lead her team to three-straight Sunset League titles…had a 3.9 high school GPA…club coach is Brian Pajer of the Irvine Aquazots...majoring in mass communications...parents are Hitoshi and Eriko Yokouchi of Huntington Beach, CA...born 8/9/82 in Los Angeles, CA.
