Cal-Eastern Washington Postgame Notes

With the 78-67 win, Cal improved to 10-1 on the year, its best start since 1959-60 when Pete Newell led the Bears to a 10-1 start. The Golden Bears also extended their winning streak to seven.

Cal has won its last 10 games at Haas Pavilion, dating back to last season. The Bears have won their last 17 non-conference home games, dating back to the 2012-13 season.

Tyrone Wallace paced Cal in scoring with 21 points and 11 rebounds. It was his sixth career double-double and his fourth this season. It was also the sixth time this season that Wallace hit the 20-point plateau, including five of the last six contests.

Cal outrebounded EWU, 36-23, and the Bears are now 7-0 when outrebounding their opponent. The Bears were also good on 20 of their 27 tries from the free throw line.

Christian Behrens reached a personal best in scoring with 20 points, connecting on eight of his nine attempts from the field. Behrens' previous career high was 12, which he garnered in Cal's last game against Princeton. His eight rebounds were one shy of his career best.

Sam Singer notched a career-high 15 points. It was the first time in his Cal career that he reached double digits in scoring.

Eastern Washington led, 22-16, with eight minutes remaining in the first half when Cal went on a 21-4 run to end the half with the lead. Cal is 7-0 when leading at halftime.

In the second half, Cal held a four-point lead at the 8:50 mark. Two free throws from Jordan Mathews gave the Bears that four-point lead, and that started a 10-0 Cal run to give the Bears control of the game.

With five rebounds, David Kravish increased his career total to 751, which is ninth on Cal's career list. Richard Solomon is eighth on that list (759 from 2011-14).

With one block against EWU, Kravish raised his career total to 197, which is sixth in Pac-12 history. Kravish is also No. 2 all-time at Cal, behind only Michael Stewart, who had 207 blocks from 1994-97.
