Cal-USC Postgame Notes

  • Tonight was the 255th meeting between Cal and USC. Tonight's Cal win increases its lead in the all-time series 132-123.
  • Tyrone Wallace won the game for Cal with a trey at the buzzer, marking the second straight game that Cal has won with a three-pointer in the game's final seconds. Sam Singer's late trey at Washington last Sunday lifted Cal to a 90-88 win.
  • Wallace led the Bears with 18 points, while David Kravish and Jabari Bird also secured a team-high seven rebounds.  
  • Cal took early control of the game with a 20-6 run to start the contest.
  • Cal is now 10-1 this season when leading at halftime.
  • Cal committed five turnovers in a span of 3:37 halfway through the second half that allowed USC to tie the game, erasing a 14-point Cal lead. The Bears ended the night with 14 turnovers to 18 by USC.
