REDWOOD SHORES, Calif. – The California women's crew team swept their competition in all of their races on Saturday at the Pac-12 Challenge. 

The Bears' varsity eight got the day started with an open water victory over Oklahoma, racing down the course in 6:22.9 ahead of the Sooners (6:49.7). 

Cal's second varsity opened its race strong as well, pulling away from the Sooners by the middle of the course en route to the open water win over OU. The Bears completed the course in 6:36.8, with the Sooners finishing in 7:02.5. 

The varsity four also won by open water over Oklahoma, traveling down the course in 7:28.6 to Oklahoma's 8:02.2. 

Cal's second varsity four beat Oregon State in a morning race. The Bears beat the Beavers by over a half-minute with a time of 7:28.0, while Oregon State finished in 8:05.7.

In the Bears' first race of the afternoon session, Cal's varsity eight boat beat Washington State by nearly 15 seconds, finishing with a time of 6:16.3. Cal was assigned the second lane and led by two seconds at the 500M mark. The Bears continued to build on their lead, beating the Cougars (6:31.0) by open water.  

At 1:40 p.m., Cal and Washington State raced their varsity eight boats, with the Bears winning with a time of 6:31.4. The Cougars (6:44.3), who were racing in lane one, finished 13 seconds behind the Bears, as Cal won by open water.

In an afternoon matchup between Cal and Washington State's first varsity four boats, the Bears won by over 20 seconds as they finished with a time of 7:23.1, with the Cougars coming in at 7:44.5.

In the Bears' last race of the day, their second varsity four team crushed Washington State with a time of 7:19.9, while the Cougars came in at 7:47.4.

The Bears will conclude the Pac-12 Women's Challenge on Sunday with a top-four showdown as No. 4 Cal faces No. 2 Virginia. Sunday's action begins at 9 a.m. with the varsity eight. The second varsity eight will begin at 9:20 a.m., followed by the varsity four at 9:40 a.m. and the second varsity four at 10 a.m.
