Welcome To Campus, Jaylen Brown

Story Links

BERKELEY - With members of the men's basketball signing class already on campus taking classes and participating in summer workouts, CalBears.com followed them around campus to see how they are adjusting to the college life so far.

Our next feature is on freshman 6-7, 220-pound small forward Jaylen Brown from Wheeler High School.

The Marietta, Ga. native is a consensus top five national high school prospect in the class of 2015. Brown is rated Scout's No. 1 prospect nationally. He is ranked No. 3 overall by Rivals and No. 4 in ESPN's rankings for the class of 2015. Along with fellow signee Ivan Rabb, Brown was selected to play in the McDonald's All-American game, the Jordan Brand Classic and the Nike Hoop Summit. The two Golden Bears were also named Parade High School All-Americans. Brown was named the 2015 Gatorade Georgia Boys Player of the Year, USA Today's All-USA Georgia Player of the Year, Georgia's Mr. Basketball and the Class 6A Player of the Year by the Georgia Sports Writers Association, the Georgia Athletic Coaches Association Class 6A North Player of the Year, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution's Class 6A Player of the Year, and the Marietta Daily Journal Class 6A Player of the Year.

We will profile the newest Golden Bears throughout the month of July in our "Inside The Lair" feature here on CalBears.com. Click the play button above or watch on our YouTube channel by clicking here.
