The California football team reported to training camp on Thursday, taking care of business items like having their pictures taken, participating in other photoshoots, taking physical examinations, attending team meetings and sharing some laughs with teammates and coaches before practices begin.
The Golden Bears will hold their first practice of fall training camp on Friday, and they can't wait to get back out on the field.
The day started with all of the Bears having new head shots taken in their jerseys, polo shirts and in a coat and tie.

Some of the Bears, like Bryce Treggs, had some fun with being in front of the camera.
Head coach Sonny Dykes used the opportunity to catch up with some of the players, like quarterbacks Jared Goff and Chase Forrest.

While the players were taking their pictures taken, inside the football offices, the coaches and staff were getting everything ready for the new season. One of the tasks at hand was putting together the playbook binders for all the players.
In addition to taking their pictures, the Bears also needed to check in with the medical staff and have a physical examination. Players like Patrick Worstell (below) met with the doctors to take care of some things like having their blood pressure checked.
It wasn't all work for the Bears. They got a chance to sit outside on the Lisa and Douglas Goldman Plaza and enjoy lunch together under the sun. Players like Michael Barton (below) had some laughs with his teammates.

After lunch, it was time for another photoshoot, this one being held in the player's locker room. Numerous Bears suited up to film the season's intro video that will be played on the scoreboard prior to home games this season.

The photoshoot featured individual poses and the players had some fun in their position groups, as well.

In the late afternoon, the team got together for its first meeting of training camp. Dykes got his Bears in the right mindset for training camp and the upcoming season. After the meeting, it was time for dinner before one more meeting to finish the first day of camp.
