TEMPE, Ariz. – Maria Smith, Maya Jansen and Stephane Lin posted wins as the fall half of the season and the ASU Thunderbird Invitational came to a close for California on Sunday at the Whiteman Tennis Center.
 
Smith, a Golden Bear sophomore, defeated Arizona State's Savannah Slaysman, 6-1, 6-4, in consolation singles. The pair of Lin and Jansen beat the duo of junior teammate Audrey Mayer and San Diego's Sabrina Barkdull, 6-2, in round-robin doubles.
 
Cal returns to action when it hosts the Cal Winter Invitational from Jan. 13-15 at the Hellman Tennis Complex and Channing Tennis Complex.
