Track Earns 14 MPSF Indoor Academic Honors
WOODLAND, Calif. --- 14 members of the California track & field teams have earned Indoor All-Academic Scholar Athlete honors from the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation, the league recently announced.
MPSF Executive Director Al Beaird announced the honorees, who were nominated by their respective institutions based on the following criteria:
1. 3.00 or better cumulative grade point average.
2. Student-athlete must be at least a sophomore academically.
3. Student-athlete must have completed one full academic year at the institution prior to the season for which the award is being received.
4. Student-athlete must have competed in fifty percent or more of the institution's competition in the student-athlete's respective sport.
Cal's 14 All-Academic Scholar Athletes is an increase from the 13 Bears that earned honors in 2015.
