SANTA CRUZ, CA – Cal (353-360-349 – 1062, +12) moved up three spots to finish fourth at the Western Intercollegiate after tying for the best round of the day on Wednesday's final 18 holes at Pasatiempo Golf Course. The Golden Bears and team champion Stanford (345-347-349 – 1041, -9) were the only teams under par in the third and final round.

Freshmen Collin Morikawa (71-72-69 – 212, +1) and Jamie Cheatham (73-70-69 – 212, +1) were Cal's top finishers in a tie for 16th after both shot one-under par rounds Wednesday that were their best of the event and moved them 14 spots up the leaderboard on the final day. The collegiate rookies were playing at the event for the first time.

Sebastian Crampton (71-72-70 – 213, +3) tied for 21st two shots behind the freshmen duo, while KK Limbhasut (69-74-71 – 214, +4) and Cameron Shaw (72-72-70 – 214, +4) were tied for 25th another shot back.

Shotaro Ban (70-76-75 – 221, +11) tied for 49th after having Cal's highest finish ever at the Western Intercollegiate in 2015 when he was second.

Walker Huddy (73-72-79 – 224, +14) played as an individual and tied for 62nd.

Stanford's Maverick McNealy (66-64-64 – 194, -16) was the event's individual medalist.

Cal will next be in action April 29 – May 1 when the Bears play at the Pac-12 Championships hosted by Utah at the Salt Lake Country Club.
