Brandon Hagy And Max Homa Earn PGA TOUR Cards
Former Golden Bears Finish In Top 25 In Earnings During 2016 Web.com Tour Regular Season
BERKELEY â Former Cal men's golfers Brandon Hagy and Max Homa have earned PGA TOUR cards based on their performances during the 2016 Web.com Tour regular season. Hagy finished 19th on the money list with $158,966 in earnings, while Homa was 23rd with $155,653. The top 25 players on the list at the end of the campaign received PGA TOUR cards while another 25 will be awarded cards based solely on earnings from the four-event Web.com Tour Finals that begin Sept. 8-11 at the DAP Championship.
Hagy had five top-10 finishes during the 2016 Web.com Tour regular season including a best Web.com Tour showing of tied for third at the Ellie May Classic at TPC Stonebrae in July. Homa's key performance was his second Web.com Tour win at the Rust Oleum Championship in June when he picked up a check for $108,000. He was also tied for seventh at the Brasil Champions presented by Embrase in April.
Homa previously had his PGA TOUR card for the 2014-15 season while Hagy received his card for the first time in his pro career.
The 2016-17 PGA TOUR season begins locally Oct. 13-16 with the Safeway Open at the Silverado Resort and Spa's North Course in Napa.
