BERKELEY – Darius McNeill had a season-high 30 points, six assists and five steals, and California scored the first seven points of overtime to hold off Cal State Fullerton 95-89 on Saturday.

Fullerton's Daniel Venzant forced overtime when he scored on a drive to the basket with 0.3 seconds left in regulation to tie the score at 80.

McNeill left the door open for Venzant when he missed the second of two free throws with 14.3 seconds left in the second half.

Cal (5-6) led 12-0 to start the game and was up by as many as 15 points in the first half. But Fullerton rallied and took its first lead on a steal and layup by Kyle Allman with 8:30 left.

Allman scored 30 points and Khalil Ahmad had 21 for the Titans (6-4), who had a five-game win streak snapped.

Don Coleman converted a 4-point play to lift Cal into a 75-74 lead with 2:07 left in regulation. Coleman, who entered the game as the Pac-12's No. 4 scorer at 20.6 points per game, finished with 26 points, despite shooting 5 for 23. He made 13 of 16 free throws.

Cal's Marcus Lee had 19 points and 12 rebounds for his fourth double-double of the season. McNeill, a freshman point guard from Houston, made his first six shots from the field and was 8 for 9 in the first half.
