BERKELEY – The MPSF Championships at Spieker Aquatics Complex highlight the 2018 Cal women's water polo schedule.

Cal will host the annual postseason conference tournament April 27-29 in Berkeley. All five MPSF teams will participate in the tourney – Cal, Stanford, UCLA, USC, San Jose State and Arizona State. The Bears last hosted the conference tournament in 2013.

Cal, which returns four starters and extensive depth to a team that advanced to the NCAA semifinals last season, plays another challenging schedule against many opponents expected to be ranked in the CWPA Top-25. The Bears open the season at the Rainbow Invite in Honolulu against Hawaii, Marist and and Loyola Marymount before returning to Berkeley to host the Cal Cup with Stanford, UC Irvine, San Jose State, Fresno State and Davis.

Cal will play in prestigious tournaments such as the Barbara Kalbus Invitational at UC Irvine and the Stanford Invitational. The Bears' home MPSF matches will be against UCLA on March 10 and San Jose State on March 31.

Some matches may be changed due to television selections.

Among the Golden Bears' returners this season are seniors Dora Antal and Anna Illes, 2016 Olympians for Hungary and each three-time All-Americans. Antal has been a first-team All American in each of her first three seasons with Cal and needs just 20 goals to become the program's all-time leading scorer. 2017 All-American Emma Wright as well as 2016 All-Americans Carla Carrega and Kindred Paul are also back for the Bears.
