FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. – Cal sophomore diver Phoebe LaMay earned her second consecutive trip to the NCAA Championships after qualifying on the 3-meter springboard at the Zone E meet Monday afternoon.

LaMay, who owns Cal records on both the 1-meter and 3-meter boards, finished seventh in the 3-meter final with a score of 599.00. All she needed to claim her spot at NCAAs was to place among the top nine.

LaMay and senior Hayden Tavoda will be back in action Tuesday for 1-meter qualifying, with platform diving set for Wednesday. Tavoda was 35th on 3-meter.

As a freshman in 2016, LaMay reached the national meet on 1-meter, where she finished 22nd.
