LaMay Earns Return To NCAA Meet
FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. – Cal sophomore diver
Phoebe LaMay earned her second consecutive trip to the NCAA Championships after qualifying on the 3-meter springboard at the Zone E meet Monday afternoon.

LaMay, who owns Cal records on both the 1-meter and 3-meter boards, finished seventh in the 3-meter final with a score of 599.00. All she needed to claim her spot at NCAAs was to place among the top nine.

Hayden Tavoda will be back in action Tuesday for 1-meter qualifying, with platform diving set for Wednesday. Tavoda was 35th on 3-meter.

As a freshman in 2016, LaMay reached the national meet on 1-meter, where she finished 22nd.
