• LAST TIME OUT: THREE BEARS QUALIFY FOR NCAA CHAMPIONSHIPS
Two weeks ago at the NCAA West Regional from Austin, Texas, Ashley Anderson, Bethan Knights and Peter Simon punched their tickets for this week's NCAA Championships.

Anderson finished eighth with a personal-best mark of 13.20, 43-3.75. Knights was the first Bear to qualify when she clocked in at 34:41.74, placing seventh in the 10,000 meters. Simon finished sixth with a mark of 18.91, 62-0.5.

•LAST YEAR'S NCAA CHAMPIONSHIPS
At the 2016 NCAA Outdoor Championships, sophomore Isabella Marten secured her second All-American selection after finishing seventh in the women's triple jump with a leap of 43-9.75 (13.35m). In the men's shot put, Peter Simon placed 19th with an effort of 60-10.50. Ashley Anderson also competed in the triple jump, but failed to record a legal jump in her three attempts. Ashtyn Davis also ran in the 110m hurdles, but failed to advance despite reaching a then-personal best.

• THE TOP 10S A-CHANGIN'
No less than 25 marks posted this year have earned spots on Cal's all-time top 10 list. Perhaps the biggest impact came the night of March 31 at the Stanford Invitational when Robert Brandt ran Cal's No. 2 time in the men's 10,000m (28:48.39) and Bethan Knights the No. 3 women's 10K (33:31.25).

At the NCAA West Regional two weeks ago, Ashley Anderson moved up from seventh to fifth in the triple jump with her personal-best mark of 13.20, 43-3.75. Her previous PR was 42-11.00, which she set earlier this season.

• REGIONAL RANKINGS
Heading into the final competition of the 2017 season, the Bears' three competitors this week rank highly in the regional and national rankings. Knights is the top-rated Bear, ranking sixth in the 10,000m (33:30.13), while Simon is third (64-9.25, 19.74m) and Anderson ranks 16th (42-11, 13.08m).
