Five Bears Score In Double Figures In 78-66 Victory

  • Matt Bradley scored a career-high 15 points (5-7 FG), with all but two of his points coming in the second half. His previous best was 13 points vs. Yale.
  • Juhwan Harris-Dyson, who had scored four points all season entering tonight, also set a career best with 15 points (7-8 FG) while adding 4 steals. Harris-Dyson had 13 points last Feb. 18 vs. Stanford for his previous high.
  • Cal held Santa Clara scoreless for the first 7:44 of the game, building a 14-0 lead. During the stretch, the Broncos were 0-for-6 from the floor and were forced into 7 turnovers.
  • The Bears set a season high with 13 steals, topping their previous best of 6 from the opener against Yale. Cal had 9 steals by halftime and has had at least 5 steals in four of five games this season.
  • Cal scored 32 points of 22 Santa Clara turnovers – a season high for a Cal opponent this year. The Bears matched a season low with 10 turnovers.
  • After Santa Clara cut its deficit to 53-52 with 7:03 left, Cal outscored the Broncos, 19-6, to take a 72-58 lead with 1:33 remaining.
  • Five Golden Bears scored in double figures – Bradley (15), Harris-Dyson (15), Paris Austin (13), Andre Kelly (13) and Justice Sueing (11).
