BERKELEY – The No. 16 Cal beach volleyball team has taken care of Northern California.

Now it's time to see what it can do down south.

The Bears won two more dual matches Saturday to run their win streak to 11 in a row. Cal hasn't lost since its season-opening loss to Saint Mary's, and they avenged that loss Friday with a 4-1 victory over the Gaels.

The Bears will now have a week off before traveling out of Northern California for the first time this season when they take part in the competitive Pac-12 South Tournament in Santa Monica.

"We are approaching next week as a continuation of our body of work that we've created, and as long as we continue to focus on our side of the net and consistently get better every single day in practice, we're going to be in a really, really good situation," Cal head coach Meagan Owusu said.

The Bears (11-1) beat both San Jose State and Pacific by a score of 5-0 on Saturday. Nine of the 10 matches they played came in a sweep. Cal dropped just one match in four duals over the weekend.

During their 11-match win streak, Cal has won seven duals by a score of 5-0.

"This is the most unified group that we've had," Owusu said. "If we play at a really high level when we're loose and having fun, it's just a different level."

Cal is now 3-0 against San Jose State this season and 2-0 against UOP.

In next weekend's Pac-12 South Invitational, the Bears will face off against No. 2 UCLA, No. 3 USC, No. 10 Arizona and No. 18 Washington.
