The game featured two special presentations at halftime. First, John Ricksen was presented the Pete Newell Career Achievement Award. A Cal Hall of Famer who starred in tennis and basketball as an undergraduate in the early 1950s, he went on to have a long legal career and an officer in the Big C Society. Then, Cal recognized members of the 1959 NCAA title team on the 60th anniversary of the championship who returned to Berkeley for a reunion. Justice Sueing scored 14 of his 20 points in the first half. The total was his most since scoring a career-high 27 points vs. Arizona on Jan. 12. It also marked his fourth 20-point outing of the season. Sueing also tied his season best with three steals. Matt Bradley shot 3-for-5 from 3-point range to lift his numbers to 29-for-61 (47.5%) behind the arc this season. He also tied his career highs with five rebounds and five assists. Darius McNeill poured in 15 points, his first game in double figures since scoring 16 vs. Arizona State on Jan. 9.
