Cal vs. Stanford
California men's basketball is set for its own big game on Sunday when the Golden Bears tip off against Pac-12 rival Stanford in the Battle of the Bay. The action begins at 1 p.m. from Pete Newell Court in Haas Pavilion, live on ESPNU.
The Bears are looking to snap their skid against Stanford, who is one of two Pac-12 teams Cal beat last season. The Bears and Cardinal met three times, with Stanford owning a 2-1 record over Cal in 2017-18.Â
Cal enters Sunday's contest with three Bears averaging in double figures in league action, led by
Justice Sueing's 15.5 points per game.
Darius McNeill is averaging 11.4 points, and rookie
Matt Bradley is close behind with 11.1 points.Â
The Cardinal head to Haas led by KZ Okpala's 19.0 ppg in Pac-12 play. He is one of only two players averaging in double figures during conference play, with Daejon Davis scoring 14.0 ppg. Stanford is averaging 71.8 points as a team with a 3-5 league record.
