TERRE HAUTE, Indiana – The California men's and women's cross country teams returned to the field following a three-week break in action, competing in two meets on Saturday morning. The Bears sent 12 runners from the women's team to Terre Haute, Indiana to participate in the Under Armour Pre-National Invitational. The remaining student-athletes competed in the Bronco Invitational at Baylands Regional Park in Sunnyvale.
  
The women kicked off Saturday's events in Terre Haute with the 6K competition, which featured several of the nation's best. In a field including No. 2 BYU, No. 3 Colorado, No. 7 Michigan, and No. 8 Washington, along with fellow nationally ranked teams Boise State, Florida State, Ole Miss and Illinois, California took 21st place in the Blue Race at LaVern Cross Country Course.
  
Mina Anglero continued her impressive sophomore campaign for the Bears with a strong showing in the event, crossing the line in 20:53.3 to finish 42nd. Marea Zlatunich and Annie Boos were next to cross the line for California, finishing just seconds behind one another. Zlatunich finished in 21:32.6 and took 108th place, while Boos followed with a 21:38.4 mark to take 121st.
 
The quartet of Chloe Hansel, Cassy Haskell, Meredith Corda, and Fatima Cortes rounded out the lineup.
 
A handful of runners also took the field in the open race during Saturday's events in Terre Haute as four Golden Bears ran unattached in the 6K competition. Marissa Dobry stood out for the Bears in the event, notching a time of 22:17.9 to finish 21st.
 
Sara Osterberg and Jordyn Colter also posted top-30 finishes for California in the competition. Osterberg took 26th with a time of 22:30.8 and Colter notched a 28th-place finish with a time of 22:31.7. Kenna Clawson finished 30th with a time of 22:35.1.
 
The remaining Golden Bears headed to Sunnyvale to compete in the Santa Clara Bronco Invitational. The men took eighth place in the 8K competition as Colin FitzGerald led the way. The sophomore standout posted a 24:38.3 mark to take 22nd in the event.
 
Shane Bissell was next to cross the line for Cal as he finished in 24:55.9 to finish 44th. Trevor Woodward and Ben Harper crossed the line within a second of each other at 24:55.9 and 24:56.7. Ethan Bersley, Steven Khan, Daniel Winek, Cooper Limon and Moises Medrano also competed for the Bears.
 
On the women's side, Elizabeth Ordeman marked the fastest time for the Bears, leading the way with a time of 21:35 and a 48th place finish in the 6K invite. Kalinda Reynolds was next to cross the line for California, posting a 22:13.1 mark while finishing 107th. Natalie Weiner notched a time of 22:19.8.
 
The Bears will have two weeks to prepare for the Pac-12 Championships before heading to Monmouth, Oregon for the event. The meet will be broadcasted live on Pac-12 Network.
