Cal Looks To Continue Building Off Season-Opening Win

After striking up a strong season-opening win last week, the Golden Bears continue a four-game homestand Tuesday against the UNLV Runnin' Rebels. Cal tips off against UNLV at 8 p.m. from Haas Pavilion, and airing live on the Pac-12 Networks.

The Bears look to continue building on last Tuesday's start, which saw four players score in double figures, led by Matt Bradley's career-high 25-point outing. Bradley, who led the league in 3-point shooting percentage last year, continued his standout play from beyond the arc by matching a career-high 5 3-pointers made. Andre Kelly logged his second career double-double on 16 points and 10 boards, while veterans Paris Austin and Kareem South added 14 points apiece. Cal shot 57.4 percent as a team -- its highest offensive output since March 2015.

UNLV heads to Berkeley for its first road contest of the season after most recently falling to Kansas State, 60-56, in overtime in Las Vegas. The Rebels are averaging 71.0 points and 43.0 rebounds, with have four players averaging double-figure scoring totals.

10 -- California's 10 3-pointers against Pepperdine marked the first time since Dec. 21, 2018 that the Bears combined to log double-digit triple totals as a team.

25 -- Matt Bradley set a new career-high with 25 points against the Waves last Tuesday. He went 8-11 from the field, which included matching his career high single-game total of 5 3-pointers (5-7).

57.4% -- Cal shot 57.4 percent (31-54) against Pepperdine -- its highest shooting percentage since March 11, 2015, when the Bears shot 58.5 percent (31-53) against Wazzu.

52 -- The Bears trailed Pepperdine 37-35 at halftime before an explosive second half saw Cal score 52 points. Bradley scored 18 points, while Andre Kelly and Paris Austin each chipped in 11 points in the half.
