Pro Bears Update – Homa Finishes Strong At Genesis Open

Former Golden Bear Moves Up 20 Spots With Final-Round Two-Under 69 To Tie For 37th

Max Homa fired a two-under par 69 in Sunday's final round of the Genesis Open and moved up 20 spots over the final 18 holes of the event to finish in a tie for 37th. Homa made his third PGA TOUR cut in as many weeks for the first time in his career at the Genesis Open after previously finishes of tied for 26th at the Waste Management Phoenix Open two weeks ago and tied for 10th last week at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am.

Homa did make the cut during three consecutive starts during the 2015 season but the second and third starts were separated by more than two months.

Homa will be looking to make a record fourth consecutive PGA TOUR cut at the Puerto Rico Open this week, where he will be joined in the field by one of only two other conference individual medalists from Cal in Charlie Wi. The semi-retired 47-year-old who won Pac-10 individual medalist honors in 1995 before Homa was victorious 18 years later in 2013 is scheduled to make his first PGA TOUR start since he was in the field at the Barracuda Championship in August or 2018.

Below is an expanded look at professional golf results by former Cal players last week and where they are scheduled to play in the upcoming week. Click on the name of an event for a full leaderboard and the names of each former player for their current professional tour profile pages.
