After two tough weeks on the road, No. 15 Cal women's gymnastics returns to Haas Pavilion to welcome No. 18 Washington for a dual meet on Saturday afternoon beginning at 2 p.m. PT. The meet airs live on the Pac-12 Networks featuring Samantha Peszek and Brian Webber on the call.

Though Cal's lineup will shift following the difficult loss of fifth-year senior and team captain Toni-Ann Williams, the Golden Bears' deep lineup includes a number of talented gymnasts ready to step up in her place. Chelsea Shu, who was added to the beam lineup following Williams' injury last Sunday, delivered a career-best 9.90 beam routine to win the title at Oregon State. The Bears also feature three gymnasts ranked among the nation's top 50 on an event -- Kyana George (vault, 46th), Cassidy Keelen (beam, 39th) and Milan Clausi (floor, 45th). As a team, Cal is ranked in the nation's top 25 on all four events, including a No. 9 ranking on vault.

LAST TIME OUT: CAL STAYS STRONG IN CORVALLIS

No. 14 Cal displayed physical and mental toughness despite an emotional meet at No. 12 Oregon State, but fell to the Beavers 196.950-196.150
• California held on after a season-ending injury to senior leader Toni-Ann Williams in the third rotation, finishing strong with a 49.100 on beam.
• The Bears matched a season-best 49.200 on bars.
• Williams claimed the vault title prior to her injury with a 9.875.

WILLIAMS FINALIST FOR AAI AWARD

Fifth-year senior Toni-Ann Williams is one of 20 finalists for the prestigious American Athletic, Inc (AAI) Award, an honor bestowed upon the most outstanding senior female gymnast in the country. The award is equivalent to football's Heisman Trophy. Williams' collegiate trophy case includes several dozen honors, from one NCAA All-America and eight NACGC/W Regular-Season All-America titles to six All-Pac-12 selections. She owns 77 event titles in her career.

WILLIAMS OUT FOR SEASON

Toni-Ann Williams' fifth season as a Golden Bear came to a heartbreaking end when she ruptured her Achilles in her final floor pass at Oregon State. Williams, a team captain for the Golden Bears, was granted a fifth year of eligibility by the NCAA in 2019 after she was sidelined by an Achilles injury in 2017. She won four event titles, including the vault title earlier in the meet at Oregon State, before suffering her injury.

CLAUSI LADY

California freshman Milan Clausi continued her standout debut by collecting her first Pac-12 weekly honor on Jan. 29, winning Pac-12 Freshman of the Week after posting a career-high 9.90 on vault at Arizona to win the title. Against the Wildcats, Clausi also earned a career-best 9.775 on beam and finished in the top four on floor with a 9.825.

BEAMING WITH BRILLIANCE

The Golden Bears set a school-record 49.425 on beam in the Cal tri meet against Arizona State and BYU, topping a less than one-year old record of 49.400 set at last year's Pac-12 Championships. The Bears' beam brilliance is just one of a string of stellar performances on the event for the Bears since the arrival of co-head coaches Justin Howell and Liz Crandall-Howell. Under their tutelage, Cal gymnasts have recorded the top seven beam scores in program history -- all in a span of less than four years, since Feb. 2016.

RANKED ON THE ROAD TO NATIONALS

The Golden Bears opened 2019 at No. 8 in the Women's Collegiate Gymnastics Association preseason poll as voted on by WCGA coaches. Cal's No. 8 ranking is its highest preseason ranking in school history, and it is the second time the Bears start the season in the top 10 after entering 2017 ranked No. 10 in the preseason poll. Last year, after earning a No. 11 preseason ranking the Bears finished at ninth overall after clinching their second NCAA Championship berth in the last three seasons.

Cal is set to face 10 opponents ranked in the preseason poll: No. 4 LSU, No. 1 UCLA, No. 21 Stanford, No. 33 Arizona, No. 20 Arizona State, No. 24 BYU, No. 5 Utah, No. 17 Oregon State, No. 15 Washington and No. 22 Illinois.
