FEDERAL WAY, Wash. – Junior Pawel Sendyk had a big night at the Pac-12 Men's Swimming and Diving Championships on Thursday, winning his second career title in the 50-yard freestyle and third as part of the 200-yard freestyle relay.

Sendyk's accomplishments helped the Bears take the overall team lead with 342 points after two days of competition at the Weyerhaeuser King County Aquatic Center.

Senior Andrew Seliskar won his third Pac-12 championship in the 200-yard individual medley while Sendyk, sophomore Ryan Hoffer, junior Michael Jensen and junior Zheng Quah registered the victory in the 200 free relay.

It was also Jensen's third career victory in the 200 freestyle relay.

Sendyk led a Golden Bear blitz of the 50 free with a winning time of 18.83. Hoffer finished second in 19.12 while Jensen was third with a mark of 19.30. Sendyk also won the Pac-12 title in the 50 free as a freshman in 2017.

Seliskar, who also won the 200 IM as a freshman and sophomore, took the crown again this year with a time of 1:40.53. Seliskar was the 2018 Pac-12 Swimmer of the Meet.

Cal's 200 free relay team clocked in with a time of 1:16.43 to win the title.

The Bears went second and third in the 500-yard freestyle, with sophomore Trenton Julian just being edged by USC's Victor Johansson after registering a time of 4:13.61. Fellow sophomore Sean Grieshop was next with a mark of 4:14.56.

The 2019 Pac-12 Championships continue Friday with finals in the 400-yard individual medley, 100-yard butterfly, 200-yard freestyle, 100-yard breaststroke, 100-yard backstroke and 400-yard medley relay.
