FEDERAL WAY, Wash. – The Cal men's swimming and diving team won its second consecutive Pac-12 Championship on Saturday night, closing the competition with a dominating performance that included three new records at the conference meet and a victory in every event.

The Bears took the team title with 948 points, easily outdistancing Stanford's 716 points. Arizona finished third with 570 points.

Cal senior Andrew Seliskar was named the Pac-12 Swimmer of the Meet for the second straight season and third time in his career, closing out the championships with a victory in the 200-yard breaststroke in a time of 1:49.80 – a new Pac-12 Championships record.

The victory was Seliskar's 11th career Pac-12 individual title – tying Stanford legend Jenny Thompson for most all-time by a male or female. He also helped the Bears set the conference meet record in the 400 freestyle relay with a time of 2:48.80, giving him 21 total victories at the Pac-12 Championships.

"I'm just so happy to have been able to compete four years in the Pac-12 and be a consistent competitor at this meet," Seliskar told the Pac-12 Networks. "Some of my most cherished memories in swimming have been at this championship meet. It's a blessing and I'm really proud to have done well over four years."

Juniors Pawel Sendyk and Zheng Quah each added their second individual 2019 conference titles Saturday, with Sendyk just edging teammate Michael Jensen for a victory in the 100-yard freestyle and Quah winning the 200 butterfly for the second straight year. The Bears went 1-2-3 in the 200 fly, with sophomore Trenton Julian and senior Mike Thomas finishing behind Quah.

Quah's winning time of 1:39.86 set at a new Pac-12 Championships record.

Senior Nick Norman and sophomore Bryce Mefford each captured his first career conference title with Norman taking the 1,650 freestyle in a Pac-12 Championships-record time of 14:33.96 and Mefford winning the 200 backstroke in a time of 1:39.13.

"I wanted to stay with the group in the first 100 and then just take off in the second 100," Mefford told the Pac-12 Networks. "It feels amazing. I'm just so proud to be part of this team and I'm just so happy to be with these guys."
The Bears made it a perfect 5-for-5 in relays at this year's conference meet with their win in the 400 freestyle relay. Seliskar swam the anchor leg with Jensen, Sendyk and sophomore Ryan Hoffer coming before him.

Cal will now look ahead to the NCAA Zone Diving Championships next week before the 2019 NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships March 27-30 in Austin, Texas.

"It will be fun to go and compete, and that's what we are looking forward to doing," Cal head coach Dave Durden told the Pac-12 Networks. "I think we've been consistent over these last 18 months. For me as a coach, that's what I look for – consistency over 18 months, and that draws out the best performances."
