6-9 Forward Becomes The First Signee Of The Mark Fox Era

BERKELEY – Kuany Kuany, a 6-9 forward, completed his National Letter of Intent to become the first official signee of the Mark Fox era, the program announced today.

"We're very excited to add such a great young player who will make an immediate impact," Fox said. "He is a high-character young man whose quickness, shooting and athleticism will be an asset to our program."

The versatile big man joins the Golden Bears out of Prolific Prep (Napa, Calif.), where he averaged 10 points and 5 rebounds in his senior season, according to PrepCircuit.com.

Originally from South Sudan, Kuany also spent time in Melbourne, Australia and Florida before relocating to Prolific Prep.

Kuany joins Joel Brown and D.J. Thorpe as Cal's incoming signees who will boost the Bear roster as freshmen in 2019-20.
