California men's basketball looks to get back on track this week when the Golden Bears begin Pac-12 home play against Washington State on Thursday. Tipoff is set for 7:30 p.m. from Haas Pavilion, with the game airing live on Pac-12 Networks.
The Bears have dropped four consecutive contests, with their last win coming Dec. 11 against Fresno State. Though Cal's offensive production has stagnated, the Bears enter Thursday's contest with four players averaging double figures at home, led by
Matt Bradley's 19 points per game.
Kareem South, who scored in double figures in four consecutive appearances prior to last Thursday's game at Stanford, is scoring 12.4 points at home, followed by
Grant Anticevich's 10.5 points and
Andre Kelly's 10.3 points.
Washington State is 1-1 in league play after splitting a pair of home games against the LA schools in Pac-12 opening weekend. The Cougars fell to USC, 65-56, on Jan. 2 before topping UCLA, 79-71, in overtime on Jan. 4. Washington State is led by sophomore CJ Elleby, son of Golden Bear great Bill Elleby (1988-92).
