LAKE NONA, Florida – Playing on the second day of the Oracle ITA National Fall Championships, Cal women's tennis star Haley Giavara lost to N.C. State's Jaeda Daniel, 6-2, 7-6(4), in a consolation match on Friday at the USTA National Campus.
 
The Golden Bear – a singles All-American and the ITA Northwest Regional Rookie of the Year as a freshman last season – next faces Florida Atlantic's Martina Kudelova in a consolation match on Saturday not before 1:30 p.m. ET.
