STANFORD, Calif. – No. 10 California women's gymnastics continued its undefeated streak against its Bay Area rival and No. 25 Stanford, 197.125-196.175, to take down the Cardinal for the fourth time this season on Sunday afternoon at Maples Pavilion.

Led by all-around champion Kyana George, the Golden Bears took home six titles, including two on bars and two on vault to open Sunday's competition. George won the all-around with her 39.525, along with a 9.875 vault win and 9.925 beam crown. She shared the vault crown with Rachael Mastrangelo, while Maya Bordas and Emi Watterson shared the bars title with a pair of 9.925s.

"What we wanted to do was come in and put together a solid meet on the road," said head coach Justin Howell. "We tallied an outstanding score on the road, and that's going to be helpful as we move into the second half of the season."

Bordas and Watterson kicked off the meet for Cal with impressive routines on bars, each earning 9.925s to put the Bears out in front early 49.225-48.950. In the fourth spot, George earned a 9.825 as one of four Bears with a 9.80 or better. Maya Green, who made her competitive bars debut just last week, added a 9.80 to round out the top five.

The Bears continued their strong start by logging a season-high 49.275 vault rotation. Nina Schank led off with a strong 9.85, and reigning Pac-12 Freshman of the Week Nevaeh DeSouza matched her score for a career-high. Mastrangelo tallied her season-best 9.875 to share the win with George.

George paced the floor lineup for Cal, earning a 9.90. Mastrangelo continued to impress with her new triple full opening pass, scoring a 9.85 as the event anchor. Milan Clausi and Desouza also tallied 9.85s to help Cal to a 49.275 on the event.

Cal closed out the afternoon with another season-best rotation, this time with a 49.350 on beam to match the program's fourth-highest score on the event in school history. Talitha Jonesled off with a 9.80, and DeSouza, George, and Watterson rounded out the competition by earning a trio of 9.90s.

"I'm proud of the way we continue to improve every weekend," Howell said. "They were gritty, and they stayed present. There were some moments where maybe they could've fallen off the beam or had a different landing, but they stayed present in what they were doing and they were able to correct it. Those are the things we talk about in the gym every day, hoping they can put that into practice and competition. They came out and did that today. I'm very proud of their effort."

The Bears return to action this Saturday as they host Oregon State in their third home meet of the season in Haas Pavilion. Meet time is set for 1 p.m., airing live on the Pac-12 Networks. Tickets for the meet are available online now.
