Cal Clashes With Colorado Thursday

Story Links

After going 2-1 in a three-game homestand, California men's basketball is back on the road and looking to capture a win at Colorado on Thursday. The Golden Bears tip off against the Buffaloes at 5 p.m. PT/6 p.m. MT, live on Pac-12 Networks.

Cal is looking for its first win away from Haas Pavilion all season, and the first over a ranked opponent since last February's defeat of No. 25 Washington. A win in Boulder would also be Cal's first road victory over a ranked opponent since 2017, and just the third victory for the Bears at Colorado all-time.

Though the Bears head back on the road averaging 52.8 points away from Berkeley and allowing opponents nearly 71 points per game, Cal's defense has shored up as of late, with the Bears holding two of their three opponents under 70 points in their recent homestand. All three games were decided by five points or fewer. In that span, Matt Bradley averaged more than 20 points and Paris Austin emerged to average 12.7 points for the Bears, while Grant Anticevich averaged a team-best 8.0 rebounds.
