  • With the win, Mark Fox earned his 300th career victory. Now in his 15th season as an NCAA Division I head coach, Fox has a 300-195 career record, including a 14-18 record at Cal. He joins three other current Pac-12 head coaches with 300 or more wins in their careers (Dana Altman, Sean Miller and Mick Cronin).

  • South's 15 points marked his second-most against a Pac-12 opponent this season. He had 19 points in the win against Colorado on Feb. 27.

  • Cal shot 80.0 percent from the free throw line (16-20), shooting above 80 percent for the third consecutive game and for the 11th time this season. The Bears are 43-52 (82.7 percent) at the stripe in the last three games.
  • This is Cal's second win away from Haas Pavilion this season.
  • The Bears improve to 2-2 all-time against the Cardinal in the conference tournament, and 17-22 all-time in its Pac-12 tournament games.
  • The Bears advance to face UCLA in the quarterfinals, set for 6 p.m. on Pac-12 Networks. It will mark Cal's first quarterfinal appearance since 2017, and Cal's eighth league tournament matchup with the Bruins
