SEATTLE – California men's tennis senior Yuta Kikuchi continued his run through the singles draw of the ITA Northwest Super Regional Championships on Saturday, when he defeated Gonzaga's Arthus de la Bassetière in straight sets to advance to Sunday's semifinals.
 
Kikuchi, seeded fifth and ranked 124th, beat the Zag, 6-2, 6-3, indoors at the Nordstrom Tennis Center.
 
In Sunday's 10:30 a.m. semifinal, Kikuchi takes on Stanford's top-seeded and 48th-ranked Arthur Fery.
