Ivey Repeats As Pac-12 Swimmer Of The Week

Junior Set Two Dual-Meet Records, Won Three Individual Events At Stanford

BERKELEY – After winning three individual events – including two in Cal dual-meet-record times – in the Golden Bears' win at Stanford, junior Isabel Ivey has been selected as the Pac-12 Swimmer of the Week for the second time this season.

In Saturday's meet that saw top-ranked Cal win at Stanford for the first time in 15 years (178-117), Ivey opened by swimming the butterfly leg on the Bears' victorious 200-yard medley relay. In her first individual race, she established a dual-meet mark with a time of 51.12, which moved her up to the No. 4 performer in the country this year.

A few minutes later, Ivey swam to a lifetime best 47.24 in the 100 free to break her own dual-meet record set against UCLA two weeks prior. The time kept her No. 2 in the event among NCAA swimmers this year. She closed out her afternoon by winning the 100 fly in 51.68.

Ivey was named Pac-12 Swimmer of the Week Feb. 3 after she won a combined 11 of 12 races in home victories over USC and UCLA. Overall, she ranks among the NCAA's top 8 in five different events this year – 100 free (2nd), 200 free (8th), 100 back (4th), 100 fly (7th) and 200 IM (6th).

Next up for the Bears are the Pac-12 Championships Feb. 24-27 in Houston, Texas.
