Twelve Bears Earn ACWPC All-Academic Awards

Six Recognized With Superior Status

The Cal men's water polo team had 12 student-athletes earn 2020-2021 ACWPC All-Academic Awards, including six that fell into the superior category for having a cumulative GPA between 3.41 and 3.70.

Earning superior status were rising senior Miles O'Brien-Schridde, rising juniors Nikolaos Papanikolaou, Garrett Dunn and Sam Untrecht as well as rising sophomores Brady Hoover and Blake Hoover.

Recent graduate Nikos Delagrammatikas, rising seniors Frederick Houghton, Tamir Avital and Mateus Stellet as well as rising juniors Warren Loth and Jake Stone each secured excellent academic status from the ACWPC for having a cumulative GPA between 3.20 and 3.40.

The Bears went 8-5 during the delayed and shortened 2020 season while advancing to the semifinals of the NCAA Championships. They finished the season ranked third in the nation.
