Papanikolaou's Seven Goals Lifts No. 4 Bears
Cal Opens Aggie Shootout With 16-8 Win Over No. 19 Cal Baptist

Nikolaos Papanikolaou scored a career-high seven goals to lead the No. 4 Cal men's water polo team to a 16-8 victory over No. 19 Cal Baptist on the first day of the Aggie Shootout on Friday.

Miles O'Brien-Schridde added three goals and junior
Jake Stone scored twice as the Bears methodically pulled away from the Lancers to improve to 7-0.
Papanikolaou scored the game's first two goals and three of the Bears' first four as Cal opened up a 7-2 lead midway through the second quarter.
After leading 8-4 at halftime, the Bears extended to a 10-4 advantage early in the third quarter. CBU got as close as 11-6 late in the period but Cal pulled away once again.

Adrian Weinberg made four saves for the Bears, who face No. 8 UC Davis and No. 11 San Jose State on Saturday on the second day of the tournament. Cal head coach
