BERKELEY – In the final dual meet of the season, senior Isabel Ivey captured three events and senior Ema Rajic won another as No. 8 Cal and No. 5 Stanford battled Saturday afternoon at Spieker Aquatics Complex. In the end, the Cardinal emerged with a 167-133 victory over the Golden Bears.
 
After a couple of close races to start the meet, Ivey gave Cal its first victory when she surged to a more than two-second win in 200 free, finishing in 1:44.40. Stanford's Taylor Ruck took second, with a hard-charging Ayla Spitz moving up to third place in 1:46.73.
 
Isabelle Stadden was up next in the 100 back and came through with a convincing victory in 52.42. Rajic followed with the Bears' third consecutive triumph when she reached the final wall in the 100 breast in 1:01.78.
 
Ivey and Eloise Riley gave Cal a 1-2 result in the 100 free, with Ivey going first in 48.22 and Riley placing second in 49.17. In the 200 breast, freshman Leah Polonsky led from the start and touched in 2:13.33.
 
Ivey rounded out her individual results with a 1:57.98 win in the 200 individual medley. Fellow senior Alicia Wilson nipped Stanford's Brooke Forde for second place in 1:59.25.
 
In a pre-meet ceremony, the Bears recognized their six seniors with Elise Garcia, Robin Neumann and Maddie Ward joining Ivey, Rajic and Wilson. Together, they have helped Cal extend its streak of top-5 national finishes at the NCAA meet to 15 years in a row – the longest current streak in the country.
 
Cal returns to action in two weeks when the Bears travel to Federal Way, Washington, for the Pac-12 Championships Feb. 23-26.
