BERKELEY – The California men's basketball team travels north for its penultimate road trip of the regular season to face the Oregon schools, starting with Oregon State at 8 p.m. PT on Wednesday. The game will be played at Gill Coliseum in Corvallis and will be televised on ESPNU.
 
The Golden Bears are going for the season sweep of the Beavers, having earned a 73-61 home victory on Dec. 2 in the programs' first head-to-head meeting. Cal (9-15, 2-11 Pac-12) has lost 10 consecutive games since Jan. 6, most recently including a pair of home losses to the Washington schools last week. Oregon State (3-17, 1-9) is in the midst of a similar skid, having lost seven games in a row.

• Cal announced on Feb. 4 that senior forward Andre Kelly is expected to miss the remainder of the 2021-22 season with an ankle injury he suffered at USC on Jan. 29. Kelly averaged 13.4 points per game and 8.4 rebounds per game while ranking in the top-10 nationally in field-goal percentage (60.7%) and had played in every game of his college career (113 games) prior to the injury.
• The Bears' 73-61 win over Oregon State on Dec. 2 was highlighted by a 25-point, eight-rebound effort from graduate guard Jordan Shepherd, who shot 8-14 from the field. Shepherd has scored in double figures in 16 of the last 18 games and 19 times this season.
• Cal's most recent win at Oregon State was a 69-58 victory on Jan. 21, 2017.
• Sophomore guard Jalen Celestine scored a career-high 20 points and tied his career best with seven rebounds in Cal's loss to Washington State last Saturday. Celestine shot 7-11 from the floor to eclipse his previous best point total of 13 from last season. He's averaging 8.3 points per game in Pac-12 play, good for the fourth-most on the team.
• With Andre Kelly expected to miss the remainder of the season due to injury, junior center Lars Thiemann has stepped into a starting role for the Bears. In three starts, Thiemann is averaging 8.3 points per game while shooting 53.3% from the floor. He scored 11 against Stanford on Feb. 1 and most recently totaled eight points, six rebounds, three blocks and two steals in 34 minutes played against WSU on Feb. 5.
• Cal limited Stanford to 57 points Tuesday, marking the ninth time the Bears have held their opponent to 60 points or less this season.
• Cal out-rebounded WSU 41-30 on Feb. 5 for its best margin on the glass since facing Dartmouth on Dec. 19.
• Senior forward Grant Anticevich snapped out of a cold spell with 16 points, including four 3-pointers, against WSU on Feb. 5. Anticevich is Cal's third leading scorer (10.3 PPG) but had gone eight straight games without reaching double figures in points.
• The Bears limited Stanford to 57 points on Feb. 1, marking the ninth time this season they've held an opponent to 60 points or less.
