Four Bears Named WCGA All-Americans
No. 7 Cal Breaks Record With Four First Team Members
BERKELEY- The Women's Collegiate Gymnastics Association (WCGA) announced its 2023 Regular Season All America awards Thursday afternoon. A record-breaking four members of the No. 7 California women's gymnastics team earned first-team status.
The Golden Bears' four first-team selections led the Pac-12 Conference and the seven total honors break the program record.
Mya Lauzon,
Andi Li,
Maddie Williams, and
eMjae Frazier once again etched their names into Cal history.
Lauzon became the first Bear since Toni-Ann Williams (2015) to earn two first team nods and three total honors. The sophomore was named a first-team All-American on the balance beam and vault, while earning second-team honors on the floor exercise. She ended the regular season ranked seventh on vault with an NQS of 9.930 and seventh on beam with an NQS of 9.950. She also finished 12
th on floor with a 9.945.
Li picked up a regular season All America standing for the third straight year being named a first-team All-American on the uneven bars and a second-team All-American in the all-around. After earning second-team honors on bars the last two seasons, the junior landed on the first team list this season as the sixth-ranked bars competitor in the nation with an NQS of 9.960. She picked up her first AA award as the 14
th-ranked competitor with a 39.585 NQS.
Williams was incredible on the uneven bars all year finishing the regular season ranked eighth with a 9.955 NQS. That effort led the sophomore to a first-team All America standing, the first of her career.
Frazier becomes just the third freshman in Cal history to be named a regular season All-American earning first-team honors on floor. She finished the season with an NQS of 9.95, which was good for eighth in the country.

Student-athletes with the top eight National Qualifying Scores (NQS) for the regular season (with ties), for each event plus the all-around earned All America honors. Second team All-America honors are earned by student-athletes ranked Nos. 9-16 (with ties) in the NQS.
