JERUSALEM – California track & field's Audrey Jacobs will compete in her final meet of the summer this week, taking on some of the world's best young hammer throwers in Jersualem's Givat Ram Stadium in hopes of claiming a European U20 title.

The reigning Dutch champion, Jacobs is set to compete in Qualifying Group B, which is scheduled for 12:05 a.m. PT on Monday morning. The final will take place the next day at 6:52 a.m.

To reach the final, Jacobs must either surpass the qualification standard of 63.50m (208-4) or land in the top-12 performers of both groups combined. Her season best of 64.57m (211-10), the current Dutch U20 record, is the best in her group and second overall behind only Cyprus's Valentina Savva (67.73m/222-2).

Currently, Jacobs ranks fourth on Cal's all-time hammer list and is the top returner for the Bears going into the 2024 season. As a freshman in 2023, she finished 13th at the NCAA Outdoor Championships, good for Second Team All-American status.
