BREMERTON, Wash. – Tony Chen and Nathan Wang both shot 2-under-par 70s Tuesday as the California men's golf team wrapped up a third-place finish in the Husky Invitational at Gold Mountain Golf Club's Olympic Course.

Cal finished the two-day, 54-hole event at 12-under (287-278-287) to tie with Oregon State for third. Oklahoma (-14) captured runner-up honors while host Washington ran away with the team title, shooting a staggering 40-under for the tournament, including a third-round 269. The Golden Bears entered the third round in sole possession of second place after finishing the second set of 18 holes Tuesday morning; the conclusion of round two was suspended due to darkness Monday night. Cal's lineup shot a 10-under 278 in the second round – the best among all 14 teams in the field – before ultimately falling back to third place with a final-round 287.

Freshman Eric Lee once again paced the Bears, tying for 11th at 3-under. The rookie was in prime position to compete for a second straight individual title after 36 holes, but a third-round 75 dropped him back outside of the top 10. Fellow freshman Ethan Fang (-2) amassed three birdies and an eagle over the final six holes on Tuesday to climb into a tie for 14th alongside Chen, who shot a steady 72-72-70 over two days of play.

Meanwhile at the Husky Individual on Gold Mountain's Cascade Course, all six Bears in competition finished the 54-hole event under par. Papon Sawatyanon (-8) stole the show with a third-round 66 as he tied Aaron Du for sixth place. Daniel Heo jumped 12 spots on the leaderboard with a 5-under 67 to close out a 4-under 212 overall. Both Charlie Berridge and Costas Panay tied for 20th at 3-under (213) while Ethan Chung took 27th at 1-under (215).
