Fouillet has been the Bears' low scorer in both of their tournaments this season, placing 11th at the season-opening ANNIKA Intercollegiate (-2) and earning her highest career finish of third place at the Molly Invitational (-5). Both Fouillet and Liu are coming off a final round at the Molly where they each carded a 5-under-par 67, just one stroke shy of the program's single-round 18-hole record.

PLAY FOR HER
In 2023, the Play For Her initiative – dedicated to longtime Cal head coach Nancy McDaniel – raised over $290,000 in the fight against breast cancer. This year's campaign is dedicated to two-time breast cancer survivor and Arizona State head coach Missy Far-Kaye and her late sister, Heather Farr, who was diagnosed at the age of 23 and lost her battle five years later.

Every birdie made this weekend will go directly towards this year's fundraiser that has raised over $130,000 over the past several weeks.

FEELING 22
The Bears came in at No. 22 in this season's first Scoreboard national rankings list, which was released on Wednesday. Cal will be one of eight top-25 teams competing this weekend.

NEW ERA
For the first time ever, Cal opened a season without Nancy McDaniel, who spent the previous 29 years as the team's founding head coach. McDaniel's replacement for Cal's inaugural season in the ACC is fellow California Athletics Hall of Famer Aagaard, who earned three straight NGCA All-American honors with the Bears from 2003-06, returned to Cal as an assistant coach for two years from 2013-15, and most recently led Washington State to back-to-back NCAA Regionals in 2023 and 2024.

WGCA ASSISTANT COACH OF THE YEAR
Associate head coach Bev Terry stepped up in a huge way in 2023-24, taking on more coaching duties than ever before while guiding the Bears to one of their best seasons ever. Cal set numerous program records last season, including its lowest 54-hole team score (-28), longest win streak (3), and lowest team scoring average (291.1). The Bears earned five top-five finishes – its most since 2016-17 – and advanced to the NCAA Regional round for the 23rd time since 2000, resulting in Terry earning the first national assistant coach of the year award in program history.
