No. 8 Cal Splits Results With No. 4 Stanford, No. 18 ASU

Bears Post Strong Times In Relays

TEMPE, Ariz. – Fifth-year senior Isabelle Stadden put up three top-10 national times and the No. 8 California women's swimming & diving team won its second relay in as many days as the Golden Bears defeated No. 18 Arizona State 240-113 and fell to No. 4 Stanford 207-145 at Mona Plummer Aquatic Center.

Stadden captured the 200-yard backstroke in a time of 1:51.38, which is the fourth-fastest mark in the nation this season. She also teamed up with freshman Mary-Ambre Moluh and seniors McKenna Stone and Morgan Brophy to help Cal win the 200 freestyle relay with a time of 1:29.32 – the seventh best performance nationally this year.

Stadden, along with sophomore Ava Chavez and seniors Leah Polonsky and Lilou Ressencourt, finished second in the 800 free relay but still with the second best time in the event this season (7:05.87). Stanford's winning time of 6:58.43 was the top mark nationally.

Moluh also made a mark in the 50 free, finishing second behind fellow Olympian Torri Huske of Stanford with a time of 22.14 – ninth best in the country this season. Stone was third at 22.84.

Ressencourt placed second in the 100 butterfly with a mark of 52.33

The Bears are now off from competition until the Minnesota Invitational on Dec. 4-7/
