California men's gymnastics will meet up with Stanford for the third time in four weeks Saturday, as the Golden Bears will travel down to The Farm to make another appearance at Burnham Pavilion. The meet's first rotation is currently scheduled for 4 p.m. PT.

The Cardinal is the top team in the nation, averaging a score of 414.525 after two meets. Last weekend at the Stanford Open, Cal registered an 8.1-point improvement from its season-opening team score, finishing at 396.300. The Bears have historically found a good deal of success at Burnham, having posted 29 top-10 marks there since the start of the current scoring system in 2017.

This week, Cal looks to take the opportunity to give some of its premier gymnasts (such as Winter Cup qualifier Noah Newfeld) a bit of a rest while providing opportunities for others on the roster to show what they can do. Horizontal bar will be an event to watch – senior Collin Cunane is set to make his season debut in the lineup, while junior Tyler Shimizu will also appear as one of the five for the first time this year. Last week's winner Darren Wong is primed to take the all-important anchor spot as he builds out his routine. Cal's pommel horse lineup, which has recorded two program top-10 group scores this year, looks to remain unchanged for a third straight meet, fielding Wong, Shimizu and Newfeld as well as seniors Noah Sano and Aidan Li.
