Sophomore Picks Up Third Career Weekly Award
California men's gymnastics sophomore
Theodor Roald Gadderud has been named the MPSF Gymnast of the Week following his standout performance Sunday in the Golden Bears' home quad meet with Nebraska, Air Force and Stanford.
Roald Gadderud, who hails from Baerum, Norway, competed on four events last weekend for the Bears. He started off with a season-high 13.400 on floor, then recorded a 13.600 on rings, a 14.050 on vault and a season-high 14.000 on parallel bars. Both his rings and parallel bars scores led the team, with the latter matching a career high and taking third place in the competition.
"At practice, Theo is very focused and persistent. He's willing to do what's necessary for success," associate head coach
Bryan Del Castillo said. "Theo has a competitive personality and pushes everyone to be better."
This is the third career weekly award for Roald Gadderud, who won MPSF Freshman of the Week twice in 2023.
