No. 4 Cal Sweeps Day One At ACC/Pac-12 Invite
Bears Defeat No. 8 Syracuse, No. 18 Oregon State
 
FLUVANNA COUNTY, Va., – The No. 4 California women's rowing team swept the first day of the ACC/Pac-12 Invitational at Lake Monticello in Fluvanna County, Virginia Saturday evening. The event was moved from this morning to this evening due to windy conditions. The Golden Bears V8+, 2V8+, V4+ and 2V4+ all won their races against No. 8 Syracuse and No. 18 Oregon State.
 
The races for the V8+, 2V8+ and 2V4+ were all tight as the Bears finished in first by just three to four seconds while the V4+ finished in first comfortably by almost 10 seconds.
 
The Bears conclude the invitational tomorrow when the V8+, 2V8+ and V4+ compete in a duel against No. 11 Virginia before the 2V4+ faces Virginia and Oregon State.
